Sportsgram Vol 17

Let's get in the spirit.

It’s time. I’m not Mariah so I won’t sing at you. It’s that time of year again, where the lights twinkle and the glitter flows freely. I love the holiday season, my waste-line not so much. This week seems start endless holiday parties and red, green and gold and Christmas tunes filling the air. Give yourself grace to indulge, over eat, laugh out loud. As we enter the holiday season I am ever grateful for this community. While some people in our community will find the joy in the season and be surrounded by loved ones, we know all too well that the Holiday season can be a lonely time for some. I am incredibly proud of all our 47 leagues and organization that help build community and help people find a chosen family that can make the holidays a bit brighter. I have met my best friends through our sporting community will continue to be thankful for the memories and families that we make together. As we look ahead I ask that you do two things to make this season better for someone.

1) Do something to give back to your community. Donate money, donate time, give to one of our many food banks, donate a toy so that underprivileged child may experience a little holiday joy.
2) Try to make someone’s day better, share joy; with a smile, hold a door, carry a neighbors groceries, write a card just because…get creative.

As we celebrated giving Tuesday we are grateful for all our members who make the work we do possible. Many of you donated on Giving Tuesday during our year end campaign and for that we are grateful. We are still a ways off from reaching our $15,000 goal for the end of the year. We have just secured a donor to match dollar for every donation received before the end of the year. Donate today and double your impact.
