Sportsgram 2025 Vol 5
the next big thing

Luck be damned, make your own.
March is here and in full swing which means two things: Everything is green and golden for St Patrick’s Day and Team DC is ready to officially announce our 2025 Scholars. As a Patrick I take a little joy in the St Patrick’s day celebration, but please celebrate correctly and responsibly. www.paddynotpatty.com. Hope the luck of the Irish is with you.
Team DC is proud to announce that we will be awarding 9 scholarships to deserving students from across our region. Luck had nothing to do with the our winners. Each and every one of our 9 chosen Scholars are multi sport athletes, and academic all stars with an average GPA of 4.38!
This is now my 5th year as a part of the scholarship committee. I am still continuously amazed at the strength and resilience of our Scholars. With the pandemic all but in the rear view mirror, this will be our first class of scholars that will have had an almost entire 4 years of traditional highschool experience. While that may count for something for these stellar applicants, it is worth noting that this generation still missed several formative years of maturing and socializing with peers. That is why I am incredibly proud of this class of scholars. You can meet our Scholars at our Night of Champions Gala April 5th,2025.

Our Scholarship program started in 2008 and this year will mark our 113th scholarship. We could not continue our program with out the dedication of our scholarship committee, our board members, and our sponsors. It would also not be possible without the dedication of our member organizations, donors and scholar sponsors. This year we would like to give special thanks to:

Centaur Motorcycle Club of Virginia
DC Frontrunners Pride Run Foundation
